The Vision

Architect Paul McClean envisioned a compound that would set a new standard for Hollywood Hills living — over 11,000 square feet of pure contemporary luxury perched high above the city with 270-degree views from downtown to the Pacific.

The Roderick Approach

The site itself was the first test — an insanely steep hillside lot where nothing about the build was standard. Anchoring 11,000 square feet into that slope meant engineered foundations stepping down the grade, crane work over neighboring properties, and sequencing where one mistake cascades down the hill. Most builders won't touch a lot like this. It's the kind we take on purpose.

Then the finish work: seven kinds of marble. A Murano glass chandelier commissioned from Venice. A master suite spanning the entire top floor. Travis Roderick managed every detail, from the hillside structure to coordinating international artisans for custom installations.

The infinity pool appears to dissolve into the Los Angeles skyline. The home theater is wrapped in hand-stitched leather panels. Every surface was selected to feel inevitable — as if no other material could have worked in that exact spot.
